*The entry criteria is displayed on the relevant course factsheet on our website. There is also a brief explanation in the qualification section below. Exceptional consideration will be given to applicants who may not currently meet the entry criteria but have an Education, Health and Care Plan.

Level 2 or Intermediate Apprenticeships Academic Entry Criteria

You must have a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade D/3 including Maths and English.

A Vocational qualification Level 1, plus GCSE grade D/3 in both Maths and English.

NB: English & Maths Functional Skills Level 1 will be accepted as an alternative to GCSEs.

Do you meet the Entry Criteria for the Level 2 or Intermediate Apprenticeship?

Level 3 or Advanced Apprenticeships Academic Entry Criteria

You must have a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including Maths and English.

A vocational qualification Level 2, plus GCSEs grade C/4 or above in both Maths and English. & Must have a supervisory role within own organisation (or given the opportunity to)

NB: English & maths Functional Skills Level 2 will be accepted as an alternative to GCSEs. 

Veterinary Nursing and Farriery Courses require 5 GCSEs at C/4 or above to include English, Maths and Science.

Personal Learning Record

What is a personal learning record?

Your PLR is your permanent, authoritative online record of your qualifications and achievements. The PLR records general and vocational qualifications such as but not limited to QCF, A levels, GCSEs, BTEC, Diplomas and Functional Skills. The PLR means you should no longer have to show copies of different certificates to learning providers and employers. You can provide this information as a report generated from your PLR. Read the privacy notices and what it means to you, so you understand how your data will be used.
